Rejuvenate and detoxify your skin with my favourite body and facial scrubs. With an assemblage of natural and organic brands, you'll smell like coconut, coffee, strawberry or rose. I choose all the above, Which will you choose?
To allow your skin to effectively utilise and absorb facial and body oils, serums or creams, we need the base of our skin to be prepped for the giving. One of the ways to achieve this is through exfoliation and it is consequential step in your skincare regime. By habitually exfoliating (1-3 times a week), we are scrubbing away the outermost layer of our skin to stimulate the renewal of new skin. It essentially unplugs our pores from the daily build-up of dead, dull and dry skin cells, grime and excess sebum to allow smooth and refined skin to surface. As well as deeply cleansing our skin, manual exfoliation helps to perk up our complexion, improve our skin tone and texture, prevent breakouts and erase fine lines, all the while leaving your skin soft and supple. Remember not to over exfoliate. It can damage and irritate the surface layer of the skin, exacerbating sensitivity, redness and acne. With all things, moderation is prevalent. Understand your skin and what it needs. After ever facial or body exfoliation, nurture your skin with creams, balms, or oils to hydrate and seal in the moisture. I have three favourite body scrubs and three favourite facial scrubs that embraces an assortment of skin types. Let's begin shall we?

Buy: NILLYANDBOOTH.COM.AU Leahlani Skincare-Honey Love Microdermabrasion 3-in-1 Cleanser, Mask & Exfoliater

Used as a cleaners and mask, it gently + deeply nourishes and replenishes the skin. Used as an exfoliator, well, with one use your skin will glow. The corundum microdermabrasion crystals that settles at the bottom of the jar, are very fine. but lordy do they exfoliate. Now the top layer of this jar is for cleansing and masking. To activate the crystals to exfoliate, you need to stir up the jar, which means you choose the precise exfoliating pressure. These crystals, as fine as they are, do have a coarse texture that's too rough to use simply alone. It needs to be combined with the top layer, to not scrape at the skin. Used in this way, no exfoliant will dislodges daily toxins as effectively as these crystals. Upon rising, my skin felt the way it does after masking, renewed and vibrant, shedding any dull shadow. Microdermabrasion indeed, out with the old, in with the new. If you do have sensitive/acne prone skin, I would recommend to mix more of the top layer with a small amount of the crystals and exfoliate with a very light hand, gliding gently across. If you have more crystals in your mixture, it might be abrasive against the skin, so always patch test before use. With over 800 positive reviews, with each varying in skin type, the crystals offered an assortment of benefits, including pore refinement, brighter skin and evened out complexion.
ingredients: organic raw honey, organic hibiscus flower, organic lavender, organic chamomile, vitamin C, organic orange, lavender essential oil, chamomile essential oil, corundum microdermabrasion crystals, LOVE

Handmade body polish for the butt and thighs, that's said to 'hydrate and reduce the appearance of cellulite.' Now I can say that I have found this exfoliant to have firmed the surface of my skin, around my thighs and buttocks, but alas, the cellulite is still there and unwavering, although somewhat improved. The texture of this scrub is coarse but it doesn't scratch or strip the skin, rather seals in the moisture with the balance of moisturising butters and oils. Believe me, your butt will have never have felt so darn soft. It's like a drape of silk covering your behind. You can use it all over the body, but I found it doesn't spread well over the skin so I primarily use it on the butt and thighs. The scent is warm and fresh, a lovingly mix of sugar, coffee and citrus. Warning: prepare to get down and dirty, it will get messy and slippery in the shower. Moody Sisters are currently revamping their body line, so the Coffee Polish is currently unavailable but they do stock other body scrubs, so check them out.
ingredients: demerara sugar, coffee infused sunflower oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, coffee grounds, essential oils (vanilla, grapefruit, orange and rosemary extract)

OH DEER Sugar - (OH) Exfoliator (all skin types)
I don't usually gravitate towards anything pink. But, I have allowed myself to be covertly girly in the shower and boast about this hot pink delight- it smells like sweet, sweet candy, with a whiff of coconut that lingers on the skin. Using sugar crystals as the texture, this handmade exfoliant gives a gentle touch, removing dead skin cells effectively. A simple meld of natural and vegan ingredients, high in Vitamin C and antioxidants, this pretty exfoliator encourages silken skin that smells good. Oh Deer Sugar is a quirky and natural/vegan alternative to Lush, stocking a myriad of colourful varieties of bath bombs, carnival bubble bars, bubble bar macarons, body butters, scrubs and face masks. Do keep in mind, this scrub contains artificial colours that are body approved and artificial flavours that are natural. Warning: it will get messy, like pink confetti splattered about. It also warns, their products may contain traces of nuts.

Haha I know what you mean, I have a lip scrub that smells of strawberries and I keep tasting it and reapplying haha it's that good
Hey babe! I really recommend you try Flight. If you don't have sensitive skin, it's the bomb
Hello Anusha! Thanks for commenting babe. Hmm have you tried mixing a ting bit of a crystals with more of the cleaner? It's best to mix them together and use more of the cleanser with a little of the crystals. A little goes a long way at effective scrubbing. Have you tried that?
